Pregnancy massage is tailored for the expectant mother and aims to provide a relaxing treatment in a safe and supportive environment. It is also known as pre-natal massage.
During pregnancy, your body undergoes a drastic shift in weight distribution and this can put strain on your back, neck, shoulders, hips and joints. It can also be an emotionally challenging time with doubts and fears popping up unexpectedly. Because of this it is extremely important to look after your well-being during this magical transition in your life which will have a ripple effect to your developing baby.

How is it different from a normal massage?
Pregnancy massage is only recommended in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. It is a gentler massage of a medium pressure, compared to deep tissue, for safety reasons and certain areas need to be avoided altogether. The massage is received with the client in a relaxed side lying position, supported with pillows for maximum comfort. The treatment room has soft music playing with low lighting to increase the tranquillity of the massage
