Soft tissue is comprised of muscles and their protective coverings (fascia), tendons and ligaments. Remedial massage uses a combination of techniques to aid soft tissue rehabilitation, following injury (scar tissue), exercise or for general aches and stiffness. These techniques include:

  • Deep Tissue Massage – working deeper muscle fibres where chronic tension builds up, such as the tops of the shoulders
  • Trigger Point Therapy – targeting those ‘niggly’ points in places like the neck and lower back
  • Myofacial Release – working over and releasing restrictions in the protective muscle coverings (fascia)
  • Soft Tissue Release – fast and effective localised tissue release, which is great on areas such as the legs and shoulders

What are the Benefits?

  • Relief from postural aches and pains
  • Increased joint flexibility and muscle tone
  • Improved circulation and assistance in the removal of metabolic wastes, such as lactic acid
  • Techniques are suitable before, during and post sporting events
  • Injury recovery therapy and injury prevention
  • Relaxation
  • Improved concentration levels
